Our company is expanding our business to include a Structural Engineer in house.

Duties to include:

  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing is necessary for anyone interested
  • Have a thorough understanding of the building process including International Building Codes, seismic and wind analysis
  • Knowledge and use of AutoCAD, spreadsheets, calculation software i.e. RISA 3D, Revit structure would be helpful
  • Ability to retain conversations, timelines
  • Understanding of available resources
  • Be flexible and able to reconcile different viewpoints, use creative thought processes
  • Excellent computer skills to analyze information and to prepare reports and recommendations
  • Cost conscious
  • Work with, direct and oversee draftsmen
  • Registered Washington State Professional Engineer
  • Knowledge of material use and properties of wood, concrete, steel
  • Ability to work directly with designer, architect, contractor, and/or client
  • Characteristics to include self motivated, energetic, outgoing, personable, approachable, good personal hygiene, non smoking preferred

Extensive knowledge of residential and light commercial construction. Practical construction field experience a must. Fluent with AutoCAD and Revit.  Must be honest, self-motivated, hardworking, meet deadlines and have a dedication to flourish. Excellent Wages DOE.

Duties to include:

  • Superior design and communication skills: verbal, written, and graphic
  • The ability to be self-directed in the preparation of design development and technical documents and details for projects
  • Have a thorough understanding of the building process including 2012 International Building Codes (IBC, IRC, IMC, IFC, IFGC, IECC) 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code, 2012 National Electric Code and ANSI A117.1-09
  • Knowledge of material use and properties of wood, concrete, steel
  • Ability to develop drawings utilizing AutoCAD & Revit
  • Ability to retain conversations, timelines
  • Flexibility and ability to reconcile different viewpoints, and use creative thought processes
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work directly with architect, engineer, designer, contractor, municipality and client
  • Characteristics to include self-motivated, energetic, outgoing, personable, approachable, professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • 2 to 10 years of professional experience, with increasing responsibilities
  • Strong potential for growing responsibility in design and project team leadership
  • Interest in working on small-to-large scaled projects, emphasis on residential, including new buildings and renovations.
